Left-handed batter Leah is a classical opener in the longer format and has become the team’s go-to left-arm spinner. Quick between the wickets, she sets the standard in all that she does. Never without a smile on her face, she’s the life and soul of this Irish team.
While she started her career as a left-arm quick, back injuries slowed Leah's pace down at an early age. Her fortunes changed when she converted to left-arm spin and she won the player of the series award in a bilateral with Scotland in the summer of 2021 when she took eight wickets.
An ever-evolving cricketer, Leah is inspired by Katie Taylor who comes from the same town in Ireland. Her most memorable achievement to date was playing at a World Cup and she hopes to keep contributing to her team achieving wins over the best in the world on the biggest stage.
