While playing for a provincial XI in a warm-up game against Ireland in South Africa in 2018, a chance conversation with former Ireland cricketer Niall O’Brien resulted in Curtis coming to the attention of Ireland selectors.
His dual-citizenship makes him eligible to play for Ireland and he made the move to Ireland in 2020 and hasn’t looked back since.
A consummate fighter, he tends to take any opportunity he is given with both hands.
