Oak Hill is one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in Ireland, with grass banks all-round the ground. It’s countryside setting in the Wicklow mountains give wonderful views of the surrounding area.
Oak Hill Cricket Ground was constructed in 2008 by businessman Peter Savill on his stud farm. It was officially opened on 22 June 2008, as an Ireland XI played a Lashings XI. The pavilion is an exact replica of the one at Ampleforth College in England where Savill was educated.
The ground regularly hosts domestic matches in both the Men’s Inter-Provincial and Women’s Super Series competitions, along with numerous Ireland Wolves and underage internationals. Ireland Men also hosted South Africa A at Oak Hill in 2012.
