What you need to know if attending the match.

What are the dates and times of the matches?

Ireland v India
• The Ireland v India T20’s will take place on the 18th, 20th, 23rd August 2023
• The gates will open at 1.15pm and the match will commence at 3pm.
• There will be a scheduled change of innings, which will be for 20 mins.
• The venue will close 45mins after the final ball.
• No Re-entry to the ground during the match
• Please ensure you bring the correct ticket for the correct day to the match

Where is the event taking place?

• This event will take place in Malahide Cricket Ground, Dublin Road, Malahide

How do I get there?

The best way to get to the event is via public transport

BUS
• There are plenty of public transport options available to travel to Malahide from Dublin city. Dublin Bus routes H2 and 42 connect Dublin city centre with Malahide village, and the 32X Bus also stops at Malahide – please see Dublin Bus for further details.
• The 102 Go Ahead bus routes serves Dublin Airport-Swords-Malahide Cricket Club

DART
• The DART will run throughout the day from Dublin City Centre to Malahide Train Station which is a 10-minute walk from the ground.

TRAIN
• For these matches, the Enterprise train service between Belfast & Dublin will stop at Malahide Station as follows:

Friday 18th August
• 10.35 Belfast Lanyon Place/Connolly will call at Malahide
• 12.35 Belfast Lanyon Place/Connolly will call at Malahide
• 19.00 Connolly/Belfast Lanyon Place will call at Malahide

Sunday 20th August
• 11.05 Belfast Lanyon Place/Connolly will call at Malahide
• 19.00 Connolly/Belfast Lanyon Place will call at Malahide

Wednesday 23rd August
• 10.35 Belfast Lanyon Place/Connolly will call at Malahide
• 12.35 Belfast Lanyon Place/Connolly will call at Malahide

TAXI
• Taxi drop off point is at the car park at Malahide Castle on the Back Road. Taxi’s will not be permitted to drop off along the main Dublin Road

CAR
Is there parking available at the event?

• There is limited free parking available in the grounds of Malahide Castle – please follow the direction signage for Cricket Parking. This is approx. 8-10min walk to the venue
• There is strictly no parking or drop off area at Malahide Cricket Club
• Please follow the direction of stewards and Gardai on duty

Directions to Car Park:

Via M50 – From Dublin City Centre, West and South of Ireland Exit the M50 at Junction 3 (signposted M1 Belfast / Airport), continuing onto the R139. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit, continuing on the R139 for 2.6km. Turn left onto Malahide Road / R107. Continue straight for 4.2km then take a right onto Back Road. Follow signs for car parks which will be on your left.

Via M1 – From the North of Ireland Exit M1 at Junction 4 (signposted R132 Swords / Malahide / Donabate). Keep right, merging onto R132. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit, keeping on the R132. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, staying on R132. Take a slight left, merging onto Swords Rd / R106 and continue for 2.9km. Turn right onto Dublin Rd / R107, continue straight for 700m and then turn left onto Back Road. Follow signs for car parks which will be on your left.

PLEASE NOTE: Car parking at the venue is extremely limited. We strongly advise using public transport to and from the venue. The car parks open 1 hour before the gates opening times on your ticket. Vehicles will only be permitted through the back road entrance.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PARK ILLEGALLY IN AREAS SURROUNDING MALAHIDE CASTLE, IN LOCAL ESTATES OR OUTSIDE LOCAL RESIDENCES. PARKING ENFORCEMENT RULES WILL BE IN OPERATION AND YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE CLAMPED OR TOWED.

What can I bring to the Match?
• A hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, rainwear, woolly jumper/fleece and, of course, your ticket.
• Bring enough cash and/or a cash card (keep it safe!) – we do not have any cash machines on site. The bars and concession stands will accept cash payments.
• You will also need ID if you want to buy alcohol.
• Medication – If you need to bring medication with you, we recommend bringing a doctor’s note or a prescription for it if it is not easily recognisable. We are not doctors, please be understanding if we question what you’re bringing in as it is important to prevent drugs getting into the event.

Do not bring:
• Chairs – all public seating is in grandstands, there are no areas for chaire to be pitched.
• Alcohol or illegal substances, if found with these you will be evicted from site.
• Standard compact cameras will be permitted, though you will not be able to take in a camera with a lens longer than 6 inches. Video cameras are not permitted on site. Mobile phones that take video are permitted.
• No Glass bottles or metal containers.
• Pyrotechnics or fireworks, flares or smoke bombs.
• Tables; including stools, floor seating and shooting sticks; gazebos and parasols.
• The Event Authority reserves the right to refuse entry to any person carrying any items or substances that may be deemed offensive, disruptive or dangerous or likely to infringe any party’s rights, safety or security or any other dangerous article not referred to above.

Is there a cash machine in the ground?
• There is no cash machine or cash back facilities on site.
• The nearest ATM is in Avoca within Malahide Demesne or there are several in Malahide Village.
• Card payments will be allowed in the bars, shops and at the concession stands

Can I bring food and drink into the ground?
• You can take snacks and soft drinks into the match but please be aware this has to fit into an A4 size bag.
• Please don’t bring any alcohol or glass containers/bottles of any sort. Alcohol will be confiscated.

Can I smoke inside the ground?
• There is a No Smoking policy within the seating areas, please respect your fellow spectators. There is a designated smoking area in the concession area

Can I purchase alcohol on site?
• Yes, there will be drink sold from the bars
• You may be asked for ID if purchasing alcohol at the bar so please bring either a passport/photocard or an age card.
• Cricket Ireland reserve the right to close the bar to the public at any time, if it deems there are safety or security concerns or the operation of the bar creates a risk to public health
• There will be limits on the number of drinks each person can purchase

What security measures are in place at the Match?
• There will be dedicated event security at the match with security at the entrances and around the ground in key areas.
• Security personnel will be performing bag searches at the entrance

What Corporate Packages are available for the Match?
• Yes, hospitality packages are available for the matches – details available here

Where can you purchase tickets for the Ireland v India matches?
• There are a limited number of tickets still available via www.ci.cricketireland.ie
• Tickets must be purchased in advance as tickets will may be available for purchase on the day.

Can you collect tickets on the day of the Match?
• No

Are there Match Programmes available to purchase?

• Yes, match programmes will be available for purchase throughout the ground and at the Cricket Ireland Merchandise shop and at the KB SportsHub concession unit

Do under Ticket Holders need to be accompanied?
• Yes, all children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and remain the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian throughout.

Does my baby/toddler require a ticket?
• Children under 2 can attend for free without a ticket. However, they are not entitled to a seat and must sit on guardian’s knee. Please note there is no specific buggy park area, and we do not have space to accommodate baby buggies or strollers in the seating area.

How can l purchase a Disabled Access Tickets?
• There is a dedicated Disabled Access seating areas in the ground
• There is also no disabled parking in place on site, but unreserved Disabled parking is available in the public carpark at Bridgefield

What is the refund policy?
For T20Is – in the event that the match is affected by weather, 100% refund of the ticket purchase price will be made in the event when less than 5.5 overs have been played. In no other circumstances can money be refunded. Handling/Booking fees will not be refunded. The refund policy outlined above does not apply for lost or unused tickets.
• Ticket holders who have purchased their tickets by credit or debit card will receive a credit for the purchase price within 10-14 working days.
• Hospitality tickets will only be refunded the amount of a GA adult ticket price if there is no play. Handling/Booking fees will not be refunded.

What are the safety procedures at the Event?
• In the event of an emergency it may be necessary to evacuate the ground. Please listen to PA announcements and follow the direction of the Stewards in your area.
• Please do not leave your bags unattended in any part of the ground.
• We would like to remind all fans that entry on to the pitch before, during and following a match is strictly forbidden. Any entry on to the pitch is thus entirely at your own risk. According to the maximum extent permitted by the law, Cricket Ireland will not be liable for death, personal injury, loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from such entry.

Ground Regulations
• Please see your ticket for terms & conditions and see Ground Regulations signage throughout the venue.
• Racist abuse and other gratuitously offensive abuse toward players, officials and other spectators are not part of the game and will attract the attention of Stewarts and the Garda and will result in ejection from the ground.

What are the COVID Procedures at the event?

• Do not attend the event if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, are a close contact of a COVID-19 case.

Where are my seats?
• This match is general admission seating which means you are free to sit in the seating of your choice. All public seating is on grandstands. Please do not bring your own chairs to the grounds as these will not be permitted.

• Only guide dogs will be permitted on site.
