Cricket Ireland is committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of its players, staff, volunteers and other participants.
Members should conduct themselves in a way that reflects the ethos of the organisation, this ethos is reflected in our Safeguarding policies and guidance.
As an all-Island governing body, Cricket Ireland is guided by Sport Ireland in the Republic of Ireland and the National Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) in Northern Ireland when dealing with matters concerning the protection and safeguarding of children. Cricket Ireland is in regular contact with these bodies via a child protection officer’s network, working alongside these bodies helps keep Cricket Ireland regularly informed with what is legislatively required, and best practice in the area of safeguarding children in sport.
