Ireland’s opening match on Friday 19 January will be on ICC.tv.
Speaking on the eve of of the first match, Ireland Under-19s captain Philippe le Roux said:
We have been unfortunate with 2 of our warm up games being rained off but we are still confident that the games we have played will stand us in good stead going forward. As well as the games we have played we have had some very productive training sessions in between in top facilities which gives us good belief that our preparations will pay off ahead of the opening match. Everyone is just really excited to get on the pitch against USA and contribute where they can.
We have mixed the squad around throughout the warm ups to give everyone a crack and manage bowling loads. A few boys have definitely put their hands up with noteworthy performances which will leave the question of selection with a few difficult decisions to be made. All fitness concerns will also have to be checked following our final training session.
