The Belfast-born paceman received his first international call-up for the Sri Lanka tour in early 2023, but had to withdraw due to injury.
Matthew was then included in Ireland's 15-player squad that toured England to play a warm-up game and Test match against England at Lord's.
At inter-provincial level, Matthew played eight times for the Northern Knights across formats claiming 14 wickets, with a best of 4-30.
