Arachas – previously title sponsor of the women’s Super Series in 2021 and 2022 – is the country’s largest nationwide insurance broker with over 650 employees at 18 offices located throughout Ireland. Their experts provide consultancy on the entire range of insurance products and services for commercial and domestic customers based on long-standing relationships with clients and providers and unrivalled access to insurance data. Arachas is part of the Ardonagh Group, the world’s leading independent insurance distribution platforms.
Customers and teams are at the heart of everything Arachas does. They have a strong ethos of giving back to local communities, which takes the form of fundraising for charities, such as Rory’s Miles to Mayo in aid of Cancer Fund for Children and sponsorships like Cricket Ireland.
This new sponsorship agreement will see Arachas named as title sponsor of the Irish Senior Cup, National Cup, men’s and women’s All-Ireland T20 Cups, and the National Youth Cups – which take place later in the summer.
The competitions will be known as:
• Arachas Irish Senior Cup
• Arachas National Cup
• Arachas All-Ireland T20 Cup (men’s/women’s)
The all-Ireland club cup competitions are a much-anticipated feature of the Irish cricket calendar and showcase the talents of male and female club players from all over the country.
2022 was a year to remember Belfast’s CIYMS, they won both the Irish Senior Cup and men’s All-Ireland T20 Cup. North County won a thrilling National Cup final over Terenure in Leinster Cricket Club, while Merrion put on a dominant display to beat CSNI in the women’s All-Ireland T20 Cup final.
Una Bennett, Head of Marketing & Communications in Arachas, said:
“Arachas is delighted to continue its association with Cricket Ireland. Like club cricket, we are proud of our presence throughout Ireland and proximity to our local communities – and like cricket in Ireland we have had remarkable growth over the last few years. Through this partnership we believe we can both help grow the sport of cricket in Ireland, while providing insurance solutions to the cricket community, through Arachas.”
Elaine Nolan, Participation Director at Cricket Ireland, said:
“Club cricket is at the heart of our sport and the all-Ireland club cup competitions are highly sought-after pieces of silverware each year. The team at Arachas have already established themselves as great supporters of Irish cricket, and we welcome their involvement in grassroots cricket. Through support such as this, we can help grow our game and provide great competitive cricket experiences for many club cricketers across Ireland.”
